Sleeping?  They will probably take Nassau again.  Who picked them to be bad?

Looks like Wantagh had 17 entered. No Conetta for Pequa though.

Id say MacArthur is definitely in the mix with these two when dual playoffs rolls around.

Why do the results for this tournament on LIWA exclude 106?

Great job by Massapequa, wouldn’t write them off yet.  They are the champs until they are no longer the champs.  Not sure why NY Wrestling News has not shown them love by ranking Wantagh ahead of them.

If you look at each team and how many wrestlers contributed to the team score, Massapequa and Wantagh each had 15 wrestlers score points.  So no difference in the quantity of wrestlers on each team that contributed to scoring.

Massapequa scored 258.5 team points and  Wantagh scored 252.5.  Seems pretty evenly matched as far as tournament scoring.

Right now, I would give Massapequa the edge based on experience.  Wantagh has alot of talent, but they are very young.  11 of their starters are in 10th grade and younger.

I also wouldnt put too much stock in an opening day tournament, where alot of kids are wrestling up, and multiple starters are in the same weight class.  Long Beach was missing Hodge as well.
