I just saw that they posted the League and County Tournament Locations on the Section XI Website and was surprised to see Hofstra listed as the Section XI location.  I thought that Section VIII had their championship at Hofstra.  Is this correct, if so, where is Section VIII having their championship?  Different days?  I think Hofstra is an excellent place to host the event, it just doesn't sound right since Section VIII has it there.

League VI at Westhampton Beach ($6 Adm)
Section XI Championships

What you are not picking up is that the Section XI tournament is on a Sunday and Monday...

Thanks 5pointmove ... I was thinking it was the same Fri+Sat like last year.  How come the change this year, was there a schedule conflict at Stony Brook?

Actually last year it was Sunday and Monday at Stony Brook - SB Bumped us for an ESPN Basketball game...

Other than the travel - It should be at Hofstra. They are a D1 Wrestling program, that is who we should support...

Saturday and Sunday would be really nice!   I don't expect the most ideal situation to happen. Ever!

Stony Brook is updating the facility so it is moved to Hofstra.  Section VIII will run on Friday and Saturday, Section XI will run on Sunday and Monday.

That is freaking awesome!! Last year I traveled back & forth for 2 days. Must've driven 100 miles.

Thank you wrestling gods!

Great opportunity for college coaches to see some great wrestlers at the same venue for 4 straight days!

I'm sure the MSG Varsity crews will find it much easier covering both events being under one roof.  I'm assuming that they are going to be covering like they did last year, I thought they did a very good job.  The only negative other than the travel time from Suffolk will be trying to get to the finals during rush hour traffic on a Monday night for many.  Hopefully Section XI fans will fill the arena as they did at Stony Brook.

I think that having the semi finals on a Monday morning when a lot of people will be working is a big negative also.
